About Escape Route Travels

Tyson Knight grew up on Long Island and currently lives in New York City working as Global Vice President of a Silicon Valley-based tech firm called Medallia.

His passions for travel, nature, and the beauty of our planet have led to trips around the world. Although he loves the major sights, he also deeply appreciates those more off the beaten path, the often overlooked spots that still have so much to offer. Escape Route Travels was inspired by his desire to share these places, and make hard-to-find sights and experiences more accessible and widely appreciated (within a reasonable budget). Escape Route Travels is also meant to inspire others (like you!) to travel, and to believe if you prioritize it, you can take unforgettable trips and explore the world.

On this site you can find trip maps, with pins marking spots to see, stay or eat, including images and descriptions. There are also suggested routes for maximizing each adventure.
